Josh Byerly is an award-winning television personality and author. From 2007 to 2014, he is a Public Affairs Officer and Spokesperson for NASA based at Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. He has returned to the private sector, working for Honeywell.

Careers
Byerly worked at the Office of Communications and Public Affairs as a NASA spokesperson and served as one of NASA's "votes," commenting from within Mission Control during the space shuttle mission and the International Space Station. He has served as a commentator on several shuttle missions, including the last shuttle service mission to the Hubble Space Telescope and some to the International Space Station. He is a climbing commentator for STS-133, the last launch of Space Shuttle Discovery on February 24, 2011. Byerly's voice appeared at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum as part of the Space Shuttle Discovery exhibition.
Byerly began his career as a television reporter and producer for KBTX, a CBS affiliate in Bryan, Texas. He then moved to Dallas to work for two media/public relations companies, Springbok Cohn & amp; Wolfe and The Point Group. Byerly organizes media relations campaigns for multiple clients during this time. He then worked for Flowserve Corporation in Dallas as a global communications manager for 14,000 company employees.
He is often a public speaker on topics of communication, media relations and public engagement and serves as a mentor for students. He has received numerous awards from the International Business Communicators Association and other organizations.
