Reception
Reviews for the season are mostly positive. Robert Bianco USA Today gave a very positive review stating, "Thankfully, it now seems to have landed on solid ground, with the best ensemble and the most interesting story in years, Meredith and Derek's union strengthens it by pushing them to a more mature place, "and praised Sandra Oh's performance:" Cristina, who answered last week with a look that suits anything you're likely to see. "
The TV Addict also praised the season and wrote, "the seventh season of the ABC differentiated medical drama is good.Is that" great again "? This would imply that it was great before, my memory May I see again, but I can not admit I've taken with Seattle physician Grace in their early season: they have chemistry, give some good performances, "praised the majority players including Oh" strong performance ".
Jennifer Armstrong of Entertainment Weekly also praised the season, "Season 7 did not bring the event down to a dramatic action, but, she is happy with the possibility of rebuilding life in the midst of tragedy." He added, "It is the emotional echo of the shoot that the show is regenerating after the last hit-and-miss season."
Tom Gliatto writes for the Weekly Person called the "satisfying" season, "Gray has been around for a while now for having lost most of his erotic hiss - McDreamy crept toward Mcnappy - but a satisfactory stable seventh season is a beating model that making new characters remain a blueprint. "
Renee Scolaro Rathke of PopMatters, reviewing the premiere, provides a mixed review, "Unfortunately, the best part of the premiere is a flashback to the end, although its impact is watered enough in the context of the action-less storyline, filled with tone pontifications -the usual gray tones. "Verne Gay of Newsday is somewhat critical of the season that states," Unfortunately, they've completed a very easy and easy answer for most. "
